This course is designed to be the first step in the kind of health and safety culture all employers should be striving for since accidents not only impact on the employee but can have significant consequences for the business in terms of lost production, lost revenue, lost customer confidence and employee moral.

This course will give students the skills to:

Identify how hazards and risks contribute to workplace risk assessments

State the importance of workers following procedure

Outline methods for controlling risks within the workplace

Understand the causes of injury or illness within the workplace

Identify why accidents occur and define the effects of accidents at work

Outline the need for accurate reporting of accidents at work

Identify the signs and signals found in the workplace

Understand the sources of health and safety information in he workplace

State the imporance of workers notifying health and safety concerns to the employer
